PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Interpret driver issues and create descriptive repair information for repairing technician.
Schedule service and repairs in the shop through consultation with the shift supervisor.
o Monitor and report estimated time of completion for driver and Operations.
Create and update purchase orders for parts and units at local vendors.
Provide prompt and courteous customer service for our driver team members.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or equivalent.
o Familiarity with Class 8 vehicle equipment.
PREFERRED SKILLS Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results.
Ability to promote a culture of trust and safety.
WORKING CONDITIONS.
This position will be required to work in a shop environment in which the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration, heat and cold, and increased levels of noise, and Constantly positions oneself to operate, inspect, and move up to 60 pounds Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard on a daily basis o Detect, recognize and assess printed text and hand written documents Be able to communicate and exchange accurate information.
