Responsibilities:
Proactive communication and building a positive culture with your team.
Consistent daily engagement with your fleet - coaching, mentoring and working with your drivers to ensure their success.
Tracking / Tracing your fleet to ensure legal and on time PU / DEL and communicating exceptions appropriately.
Reviewing customer and company expectations with drivers as freight is assigned.
Routing / Managing drivers home time while ensuring equipment is secured at approved locations.
Monitoring / Managing revenue, mileage, fuel, variance, compensation and utilization goals for each driver.
Liaison between drivers, Operations and Maintenance Teams Counseling drivers who violate safety/compliance expectations.
Ensure driver completes timely circle of service.
Work with shop / safety team to assist drivers as needed.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry Strong leadership and communication skills Knowledge of courier operations, including route planning and scheduling Ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions Note:
