As an Inside Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers, managing orders, and contributing to the success of our business.
Responsibilities:
Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner, both in-person and over the phone/email.
Understand customer requirements and provide suitable product recommendations based on their needs.
Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all required materials are included.
Collaborate with the warehouse team to coordinate timely order fulfillment and delivery schedules.
Assist customers with product inquiries, pricing, and any issues that arise during the sales process.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, and proactively identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Work closely with management to order materials, track inventory levels, and ensure product availability.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, product knowledge, and competitor information to provide the best possible service to customers.
Maintain accurate and organized sales records and reports.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a lumber yard, with a strong understanding of lumber packages, materials, and related products.
Proven track record in inside sales, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and the ability to close sales.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with customers.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with MS Office and specialized inventory software.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to achieving targets.
Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues from different departments.
Familiarity with order processing, inventory management, and logistics within the lumber industry is preferred.
