Construction Project Manager

National award-winning company in search of Construction Project Manager to coordinate activity associated with precast concrete projects containing products which follow similar processing steps and/or are related when installed on the job site. The Project Manager is involved throughout the life cycle of the product, from estimating through shipment of final product.

Essential Job Duties &
Responsibilities:


  • Act as the primary contact person for projects, collaborating with Sales, Engineering, Production, Quality and Shipping to ensure paying customer expectations are met.
  • Drive the approval process to ensure project tracks towards provided ship dates and allocated production capacities are filled.
  • Serve as the voice of the paying customer for the duration of a given project.
  • Create estimates for material, labor and freight for projects identified by the General Manager and Sales.
  • Report all concerns regarding drafting, engineering, production, delivery and installation to appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with Plant Manager to coordinate special material orders,
  • Collaborate with Precast Engineers and Drafting to ensure drawings are submitted in a timely manner to all General Contractors for approval.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and communication records related to the project.
  • Advise all necessary parties of any developments of circumstances leading to potential change orders or extra costs the company.
  • Prepare reports as needed to communicate performance regarding quality, production, delivery and cost against plans and estimates.
  • Coordinate on-site patching and fixes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:


  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Knowledge of/ability to learn ERP and estimating software.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working alone and with a team
  • Knowledge of/ability to learn product cycle times
  • Knowledge of/ability to learn lean thinking and lean tools/methodologies
  • Excellent Communication Skills both verbally and in written form.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Must possess strong tact and demeanor when communicating with customers.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blue prints, safety rules, operating, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine and complex reports and develop and analyze statistical data of finished and unfinished projects.
  • Upholds and supports organizational goals and values.
  • Travel as needed

Education / Experience / Certifications:

Bachelor s Degree in Construction Managment. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a Construction Project Management role

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
