Associate Staff Accountant
Overview

Austin Commercial is currently seeking an Associate Staff Accountant to join the team in Waxahachie, Texas. Responsibilities
Prepare month end general ledger reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and analyze variances.
Prepare month end accruals for costs not posted in current accounting period.
Complete a variety of journal entries and other responsible accounting functions requiring double entry bookkeeping.
Assist in yearly budgeting and forecasting.
Confirm monthly equipment fleet inventory, billings and utilization.
Requires communication on a daily basis with internal and external customers through phone and written mediums.
Prepare and review necessary reports for regular company management meetings, other departments in the company.
Participate in the verification process of data integrity at accounting system enhancements, upgrades or changes.
Works with department to trouble shoot workflow issues including identification of process improvements.
Other projects and duties as assigned when necessary.
Qualifications
2 - 5 years' of relevant accounting experience.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or finance preferred, but not required.
Experience in the construction, but not required.
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) experience required.
Detail oriented, problem solver, quick learner, and independent worker.
Excellent communication skills.
