Georgia-Pacific is currently recruiting an Area Sales Manager for our consumer packaging facilities located in the Waxahachie, TX market. The sales territory would be centrally focused on the Dallas-Ft. Worth area but also including a 200-mile radius from that focal point.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Create market sales strategy and point of view.
Responsible for leading 4 territory salespeople, customer service, and the local design department.
Responsible for performance management and professional development of direct reports.
Responsible for reviewing all pricing.
Improvement of overall profit margin.
Set and align priorities and develop strategies that support a market focused vision for multiple locations.
Profit and loss accountability for the Waxahachie facility.
Direct responsibility for commercial excellence.
Ensure compliance with applicable governmental regulations, GP standards and site practices.
Find and capture opportunities to innovate and profitably grow.
Build on existing and develop profitable new relationships with customers.
Utilizing economic thinking skills
What You Will Need:
Basic
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED
At least 2 years of sales management experience (management experience must include: having employee direct reports, performance feedback discussions, salary/pay discussions, coaching and mentoring, etc.)
Corrugated box sales experience
Ability to travel up to 70%

Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher
At least 2 years corrugated box management experience
Experience with the Dallas area corrugated sales market
Experience with business to business sales growth responsibilities
Experience working with varying levels of organizational leadership Experience in building and sustaining effective business relationships
