Job Title: Architectural Drafter- Residential, Auto CAD


Job Location: Waxahachie, TX


Job Status: Full Time


Pay Rate: $45,000-$60,000


Job Summary


The Architectural Drafter is crucial to the success of our company. We work hard and we believe it is important to recognize a job well done. We do this through our recognition program. We also believe in taking care of our employees and offer a nice benefit package.


The work schedule is Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional overtime, as needed. Ideal candidates will have a strong command of the English language and exceptional communication skills. We are looking for someone that is confident and ambitious who will take charge of the department and hit the ground running. We design custom homes so candidates MUST have experience in residential architectural drafting.


 


Responsibilities


Draft residential roof lines, adjust room sizes, add/remove walls, etc


Make adjustments to plans based upon client specifications


Apply precise attention to detail


Work straight form Auto CAD


Research an interpretation of residential city ordinances/codes


Contact municipalities to ensure plans are within compliance


Familiarize oneself with our company’s standards and culture


Ensure submission of buildable plans to the City


Process evaluation and improvement


Develop and meet deadlines


 


Qualifications


Minimum 3 years residential architectural drafting experience


Drafting degree or certification preferred


Must successfully complete a background check


Strong command of English language (oral and written)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
